ELLE®, owned by Paris based Lagardère Group, the largest European Media conglomerate are the owners of the ELLE and ELLE Décor Trademarks.

Lagardère Group retained MBGI to reposition its brands in the Americas, Middle East, India and Africa beginning in 2004. The ELLE brand had poor retail penetration in the US, and was carried only at Wal*Mart Stores. MBGI engineered the largest fashion magazine brand license with Kohl’s Department Stores beginning in 2006, that continues to this day, with retail sales exceeding $200 Million annually worldwide.

MBGI then engineered a Direct-to-Retail license with Falabella Department Stores in 2008 (South Americas largest retailer, Sears Mexico in 2009, Landmark Group (the largest retailer in the Middle East, India and Africa) in 2010, with over 18 Billion in retail sales and 440 Million Square feet of retail space, followed by and C & A Brazil in 2013.

Just recently, MBGI and its team have engineered 6 additional wholesale transactions for the ELLE and ELLE Décor Brands. MBGI and ELLE attended the High Point Furniture Show October 22-24th for the launch of ELLE carpeting with Surya and ELLE and ELLE Decor furniture global with Li & Fung, the largest supply chain manager in the world and a long-term MBGI partner. Li & Fung’s global sales exceed $18 Billion and its clients are most of the major global retailers from Restoration Hardware to Kohl’s Department Stores and Wal Mart.

Hearst Corporation, an MBGI partner, the largest magazine publisher in the world, now publishes mostof the 46 editions of ELLE and ELLE Décor worldwide.
